Addicted To Deals

Today, film cameras are obsolete giving way to digital cameras. But not many years ago, a film camera was what everybody possessed. Those were the days when pictures were taken only on some special occasions because it was an expensive and time consuming process. A film roll was needed before any picture could be clicked. Not to forget, a roll only had a limited number of negatives. To add, you could not delete or replace any picture already taken.

Viewing pictures called for a long wait. All the negatives in the roll had to be used before you can give it to a professional who would then make prints out of them. The whole process did cause a dent in pockets. Those were the different times.

I recently had a chance to revisit all my old memories when I found all the negatives hidden in a storage box (which turned up while cleaning the attic). I spent hours trying to look through the negatives and figuring out the photos when my daughter turned up looking for me and found me in a pool of emotions – laughing and crying at the same time. That is when she took charge of all the negatives.

Few days went by when my daughter came one evening with a big package in her hand. She opened it up and there was a scanner inside. She set it up with my laptop and then we had the most wonderful time of our lives. She scanned every negative through the scanner and converted all of them into digital images. We both spent hours looking at all the pictures and remembering old times

Now I have all my memories in my laptop and I can access them anytime I want. Thanks to the technology and my daughter for those beautiful moments.
